Why are there advertisements for "The Blaze" on DU?

I just had a DU-page with one ad for Netflix and the other one was for BlazeTV, depicting a guy with a t-shirt "Build the Wall. Change my mind."

I'm not frequenting any right-wing sites except for Russia Today. So why do I get an ad for BlazeTV? And why are such ads even on DU?

EDIT:
Just as the page loaded, I got the ad again. It's "Change my mind: Build the Wall.". The ad also shows a mid-20th-century black&white photo of soldiers building a concrete&rebar wall.

I dumped AdBlock and went to uBlock instead. NoScript is a must, esp. with dual-core machines. TheBlackAdder Jan 2019 #12

I don't pay that much each month (an amount I chose, that I can afford), and as such, get to modestly contribute to this great site, and in appreciation, I never have to see that kinda bullcrap, ever.

Just sayin

I got an ad here for official Trump MAGA hats. Hey, if DU can make a buck off the bastards, that’s ok by me. But some AI engine needs better training 😄

The rightwing has their heads so far up their own asses they think their ridiculous ideology sells itself. Unbeknownst to them, they're throwing away good money after bad trying to convince some of the most liberal in the country that this shit works in todays day and age. Kinda like fundies with "Jesus fish" on the back of their cars thinking, "that'll save some sinners!"

Ads are delivered in a number of ways, but what's happening for you is either ad content is coming through that DU hasn't had a chance to request not appear in the future (have to constantly monitor reports from members and DU passes that along to the ad provider) or you have a cookie that's recorded your activity and the ad provider is reacting to that, tailoring the ad you see to content you may have looked at before or related content.

There's nothing nefarious here.

.

Clicking on an ad more than once doesn't incur them more costs. It gets resolved based on IP, once a day.
