Seth Abramson thinks Mueller is Trump's biggest problem, not SDNY.

Maybe SDNY has RICO on the plate for Trump though.
Although treason is pretty serious as well.
Unbelievable that this man is still in the WH.
He should be in the Big House.

They may never get the link between him and the Russians, but they may get him for RICO or money laundering. He has been the Russian's man since the mid 1980s.

2. If Mueller nails Trump for collusion (Conspiracy) Trump will potentially go down as

the greatest traitor in US history. That's a very big deal. But it may well be tough to prove in a criminal court of law with all the people doing Trump's dirty work and lying..

When I looked over Mueller's case against Manafort, that was brutal because it was very difficult to defend. Financial documents with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight don't lie and can't be talked around. The numbers are the numbers and they moved from point A to point B and you'd better have a good legal explanation for that.

Trump's a crook. Not the sharpest knife in the drawer with a bunch of not-so-bright people around him. I think the financial crimes SDNY can come up with will be a walk in the park in comparison to proving conspiracy. It was financially devastating for Manafort. Trump's leveraged to the hilt like his hair and ego and when they start snatching assets for undeclared bank accounts and tax evasion, his financial empire based on a Russian house of cards will come tumbling down. Because that is more likely and easier to prove with his CFO flipped, I think that is the bigger threat. Like Capone, it may well take financial crimes to bring Trump down.

6. Christie seems to have willfully put on blinders regarding Russian collusion

He seems to think there isn't anything to the Russia stuff just because he was not contacted by Russians during campaign and Trump and no one in Trump's inner circle talked to Christie about Russia.

Seems to me though that Christie was sidelined and pushed out and kept in the dark on purpose because for Trump and his crooked cronies and Kushner, Christie seemed like too much of a straight shooting prosecutor who could not be trusted.

I'm sure you're correct in that during the campaign, the small insider group that was colluding with Russians kept it all secret from Christie and most of the others.

Christie really, really wanted to be Attorney General, remember that? The irony is that had he gotten that job he wouldn't have had any reason to recuse himself from the Russia investigation. He had no knowledge of it (presumably) but Sessions certainly did know about it. Trump never offered Christie the AG job, and it saved his butt from this shit-show.

Although many of them must be near retirement age by now. I think Rudy is working the SDNY advantage as long as he can. They hate Trump but they still love Rudy.
