What a bad bad bad guy...not a Democrat either. He could run in the Democratic Primary but chooses to do it in such a way as to give Trump his best chance.

between an income tax and a median tax rate, he isn't qualified to run for any political office let alone the presidency.

Although I'm guessing that he has "people" who do that for him.

It's just a scare tactic used by the uber wealthy to rattle the bones of those not so fortunate.

Reagan unbridled the greed, Thatcher joined in, other pigs across the world couldn't resist, and the rest is history--eventually leading to massive concentration of wealth, massive inequality, and widespread economic anxiety with backlash in the form of Brexit, Yellow Vests, Trump, etc. "Trickle-down" economics may be the biggest hoax in history yet Republicans regurgitated it again just a year ago to pass more tax cuts for the wealthy--making matters even worse.

And now back to your regularly scheduled programming...

11. Howard Hughes

He's the first big tax evader that I remember. A germaphobe like Trump, he did all kinds of stuff to evade taxes.

~
Although Hughes lived in his own home in California for many years, he later came up with the idea of living in hotels as this enabled him not to have a legally declared residence in any state which would require him to pay personal income taxes. Shortly after Hughes began living in hotels with no state as his official residence, legislation was passed that any person living in a state 180 days or longer was subject to personal income tax during that time period in that state. Then, Hughes would live in a given hotel for just under 180 days, before moving to another hotel for just under 180 days, and so on. His extremely creative efforts to avoid taxes were successful; even after his death, the states of California and Texas were unable to collect inheritance taxes since it could not be proven that he was a legal resident of either state.

How Howard Hughes Avoided Taxes

I've always suspected Hughes was where Republicans picked up much of their hatred of taxes and methods of avoidance and evasion. He was probably one of Trump's role models.

Is Donald Trump a cut-rate Howard Hughes?

Any money he spends on running will be made up by not having to pay more in taxes.
