The Nixon Foundation releases statement to distance itself from Roger Stone

Nixon Foundation

This morning’s widely-circulated characterization of Roger Stone as a Nixon campaign aide or adviser is a gross misstatement. Mr. Stone was 16 years old during the Nixon presidential campaign of 1968 and 20 years old during the reelection campaign of 1972. 1/2

Mr. Stone, during his time as a student at George Washington University, was a junior scheduler on the Nixon reelection committee. Mr. Stone was not a campaign aide or adviser. Nowhere in the Presidential Daily Diaries from 1972 to 1974 does the name "Roger Stone" appear. 2/2

But I used creep deliberately, as I understand that Stone was part of CREEP, or Nixon's Committee to Re-Elect the President. While he didn't get the notoriety that Donald Segretti and Gordon Liddy received, the total lack of morality shown by the Nixon campaign rubbed off on a 19 year old Stone.

Also, remember this picture that I previously posted: [link:|.

All of these buffoons are tied together, with Nixon and Trump, and McCarthy and Roy Cohn through thugs like Stone and Manafort, who were, of course, partners for many years, working for Republican candidates and dictators like Mobotu Sese Seko and Ferdinand Marcos.

This creep is the same one who, as mentioned in today's indictment, threatened a witness by telling him

(a) to pull a Frank Pentangeli a la Godfather II;
(b) to lie, stonewall, or plead the Fifth to a lawful investigatory committee of the House; and
(c) he would get his dog (probably kill it).

These are just what are in the indictment. This guy's history is replete with equally disgusting stuff.

Try all you want, Nixon Foundation, but he is yours and the Republican Party's guy since 1972.
