Norm Ornstein's Roger Stone story:

Here is a Roger Stone story. When I went on Facebook, I naively accepted as a friend anyone who asked. One of them was Roger Stone. When Beau Biden, Joe’s son, died of his brain tumor, I wrote a Facebook post about it. I had known Biden since he came to the Senate at age 30. 1/

Joe had just suffered an unspeakable tragedy, losing his wife and young child in a horribke auto accident.decades later, when I lost my son, Joe, then VP, was extrardinarily warm and wonderful to me, my wife and my son Danny. Beau, a wonderful young man, died months later. 2/

I wrote about that, about how nothing is more soul-shattering than losing a child, how the Biden family had suffered more than anyone deserved, what a fine family it is. Roger Stone replied that the Bidens had not suffered enough, that Beau should have suffered more, cruel sadism

I was stunned that anyone could be so awful, and of course immediately unfriended him. That is Roger Stone.

Looking at Stone it’s easy to understand how psychopaths truly have no conscience whatsoever and are an altogether different species. Lock him up!

degenerate republican heroes and role models like Stone deserve a long sentence in a dungeon for betraying the USA and perverting democracy.

Norm also lost a son in a horrible tragic manner, in many ways far more traumatic for the family than what happened to Biden, who at least got say farewell.

So for anyone to go after, and cruelly taunt a parent who lost a grown child, this is indeed the height of sadism and unspeakable cruelty. Norm would have been more sensitive to this than most people, and I can only imagine what he REALLY had to say about Stone. Norm is a friend, and I spent some time with him one week ago today when I was in DC. The AEI may be full of right wing nut cases, but they DO have a great coffee machine.

Too bad Stone's arrest wasn't yet on the radar. I would definitely have had some great comments that I would NOT have been allowed to pass on!
