There are some places along the border where a wall or other physical barrier would be the most appropriate implementation. I don't know how much of the border fall under that classification, but my guess is very little, in and around cities and border crossings, where local police and border patrol can monitor it. But for the majority of the border, technology and border patrol out stations work much better. Our party leaders should (if they have not already done it) have a panel of border control experts design the idea mix, and fund that, ignoring Trump's ineffective idea.
