How about this? Full wall funding for permanent DACA fix AND Pelosi fills the next SCOTUS seat.

Trump would never agree to it, but man it would be nice to not have to worry about losing a third seat on the supreme court, and it would be especially sweet if Pelosi picked a Latinx judge.

Okay, my fan fiction is over.

2. NOPE. Any funding for the wall is wrong on so many levels.

And the 5.7 billion is only for a small part of the wall, so the demands to pour more money into the wall would never end. And that taxpayer money is going straight to russian sourced iron.

Also, the maintenance and upkeep of this horrifict thing would be astronomical.

Nobody in the media mentions that enough. Everybody's making it sound like it's going to be one payment of 5.7B and that's the end of it.

12. The wall will never be built, even if the funding is somehow obtained.

Because Trump will be a one-term president and DC is great at stalling.

7. I know it's fan fiction... but just think how many lives it would probably save.

I can't believe more people didn't think about the supreme court during the general.

8. Well, then we could throw in mandatory paper ballots and nationwide automatic voter registration

Anyway, the conservative attack on the Court's integrity began long ago...elections do have consequences

9. The wall is definitely an unneeded monument to hate.

But getting to pick a SCOTUS seat could save lives.

It's not a realistic proposal because, as another poster put it, the GOP would sell their children into slavery to get that next SCOTUS pick. The next one will F up American lives for generations, lose Roe vs Wade, solidify citizens united, thwart any attempt to fix gerrymandering, allow torture, reinforce the death penalty, and possibly end Gay Marriage.

While, on the other hand, the wall would be an unneeded waste of money and hate monument that could be taken down/defunded by whoever the next President is. SCOTUS is for life.

But my whole proposal was just fantasy anyway.

6. Please don't forget to include TPS people with the DACA people

I would consider the deal only because $5.7B would probably just be enough for a 400 mile fence, because I have faith dotard won't be around for 2020 and because it would be huge to give the DACA and TPS folks a green card.

Add that as well. Since, honestly, it's a dream wishlist anyway.

But Trump sure does seem desperate for that wall. Maybe even desperate enough to sell out his whole party on every other issue. Since we're dreaming, we could add overturning the transgender military ban as well.

I'm normally a major pessimist, and I may eat these words, but as of today, I can't see any way Donald Trump retains the presidency. I know life long moderate Republicans who swear they won't vote for him again because he never made the "pivot." He is going to have a smaller vote margin than last time and last time was a 50,000 vote fluke in just the right states. No way that happens again with support eroding.

14. How about: any funds required to construct this infantile wall will come 100% from a fund

The Liquidated Estate of Donald J. Trump Fund, which begins the day he is found guilty of dozens of RICO violations prior to ascending to Czar.

I bet he has a negative net worth.
