Some great new Dems added to the Oversight and Reform Committee!

Some of my fav new Progressive Democrats added to this important committee:

Ro Khanna
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez
Ayanna Presley
Rashida Tlaib
and more

The Committee on Oversight and Reform is the main investigative committee in the U.S. House of Representatives. It has authority to investigate the subjects within the Committee’s legislative jurisdiction as well as "any matter" within the jurisdiction of the other standing House Committees.

Congratulations all!

fraud and abuse within the government. Elijah Cummings is the Chairman so I’m sure they will learn something from a master. But I’m looking forward to their participation and what they will be bringing to the committee.

Used to be a reference to seating positions within a legislative chamber where new members were seated in the back and more senior members were seated more forward towards the Speaker.

Today it is usually a reference to committee assignments on subcommittees or "lesser" committees which usually means less opportunity for being supported by lobbyists.

...and not have to always be in someone else's shadow All the attn given to a few isnt fair to the others- whose stories about how they rose to Congress-are just as intriguing as being the youngest, the first, the only etc etc etc... Lets help them ALL rise to their potential and newly gained fame.
