to "give Trump the money for his wall". "Democrats can stop this pain"!
I have already called MSNBC twice to tell them how disgusting Mika's bullshit is.
We did not bust our asses to elect a Democratic House that would eventually kiss Trump's ass! "Money for the wall" = choosing to live under an insane dictator.
Please let MSNBC know how you feel. I ended my comment with "CLICK"!

(2,415 posts)Pressure should be on senate republicans.
I was angered when Mika asked "what are the Democrats doing to end this?" Or something similar. I would have asked Mika, "Well what do you suggest they do?? Cave in to Trump??"

(43,049 posts)I'm not as bad off as some, with no kids to feed or health care expenses and relatively low monthly expenses.
I have, however, wondered if it is worth it for me to shoulder this part of the cost, even though I don't want that fucking wall, either.
I'll let you know if my car is repossessed and I am evicted. All for the wall.

(43,049 posts)I can't hate all Republicans-- my parents were decent Republicans and I grew up with my grandmother having pictures of Ike all over the house.
But modern Republicans, yeah most of them are scum of the earth.

I didnt want you to have to go through this once, let alone have to worry about it happening again, but that seems to be where we are at. I fucking hate this man.
I dont blame you one bit for wanting it to end.

Scarborough In April 2003: "In Each And Every Case, [Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld] Were Exactly Right." During an April 2003 commentary, Scarborough mocked Iraq war critics and wondered when they would apologize to the country for being "dead wrong." Scarborough also wondered whether the "journalists at The New York Times and NPR or at ABC or at CNN are going to ever admit just how wrong their negative pronouncements were over the past four weeks." From a MSNBC segment on April 9, 2003:

Scarborough In April 2003: People Should "Apologize" To Bush Officials For Claiming Americans Won't Be Greeted As "Liberators." (5,803 posts)During his congressional career, he received a 95 percent lifetime rating from the American Conservative Union.[15] He signed the Contract with America. Scarborough served on the Armed Services, Judiciary, Government Reform, and Education committees. In 1998 he was named chairman of the Civil Service Committee.[16]
Scarborough was one of a group of about 40 freshmen Republican legislators who dubbed themselves the "New Federalists" after The Federalist Papers. Scarborough was elected political director of the incoming legislators. The New Federalists called for sweeping cuts in the U.S. government, including plans to "privatize, localize, consolidate, [or] eliminate"[17] the Departments of Commerce, Education, Energy and Housing and Urban Development. Gingrich tapped Scarborough to head a Republican task force on education, and Scarborough declared, "Our goal is to get as much money, power, and authority out of Washington and get as much money, power, and authority into the classroom as possible."[6] Rep. John Kasich (R-Ohio), then chairman of the House Budget Committee, adopted Scarborough's language eliminating the federal Department of Education in the 1996 House Budget Resolution.[18] The budget passed the House by a vote of 238193.[19]
Scarborough supported a number of anti-abortion positions while in Congress, including the Unborn Victims of Violence Act, that made it a crime to harm a fetus during the commission of other crimes.[20][21]
Scarborough sponsored a bill to force the U.S. to withdraw from the United Nations after a four-year transition[17] and voted to make the Corporation for Public Broadcasting self-sufficient[22] by eliminating federal funding. He also voted for the "Medicare Preservation act of 1995,"[23] which cut the projected growth of Medicare by $270 billion over ten years, and against the "Small Business Job Protection Act of 1996,"[24] which raised the minimum wage to $5.15. Scarborough had a conservative voting record on economic, social, and foreign policy issues but was seen as moderate on environmental issues and human rights causes, including supporting the closure of the School of the Americas and defending accused terrorist Lori Berenson.[6][25]
Scarborough was one of the 228 members of the House who voted to impeach Bill Clinton in December 1998.[26]

(8,231 posts)interview. Should she sit there and pow wow and yes i agree the R's are terrible it's all their fault? She asked a question...what can the Dem's do and that allowed for a reply...the person replying should then reiterate that this is rump's fault etc etc etc.
I can handle hearing things I don't agree with and I don't just write off the person because of it.

(15,124 posts)what I witnessed. Repeatedly asking "Why don't the Democrats give Trump his money for the wall?" is NOT just asking a question. It is pushing an agenda, a preferred option.

(6,977 posts)IF Dems give in on this shutdown, then it's over for them as a party. Fatso will be shutting down the government at will--anytime he damn well pleases because he knows Dems will CAVE because they're NICE.

(6,977 posts)And how do you know that fatso won't once again shut the government down because he ONLY wants thuglicans to be able to vote? I mean, since rational Dems HAVE to bow down to his fat ass and give him what he wants. You gotta remember, putin's running this country thanks to fatso. I mean this fool is destroying this country right along with it's institutions, and the world is scared to death because he is allowing putin to have more power over everything. I mean he may very well get rid of NATO. What if he shuts down the government because Dems object to him taking us out of NATO? thuglicans don't CARE they love seeing folks suffer. They might as well continue backing him up in the Senate because they also know that Dems are rational and will CAVE in if WE hold out long enough and allow our fatso--along with US--to continue destroying this country/world.

The air traffic controllers and TSA need to walk off the job NOW. There is a gofundme to support federal workers that is bringing in hundreds of thousands of dollars. https://www.gofundme.com/govshutdown They should go to the head of the line.
