Jacob Wohl, an Internet troll who plotted to smear special counsel Robert Mueller as a sexual predator, has launched a new conspiracy theory falsely suggesting that Democratic presidential candidate Kamala Harris is not an American citizen.

In a tweet on Tuesday, Wohl said that Harris should be disqualified from the presidential race because her parents were not born in the U.S. The attack resembled racist “birther” claims that were made against President Barack Obama by President Donald Trump and others.

In fact, Harris is an American citizen who was born in Oakland, California.

Twitter users quickly ridiculed Wohl after he posted the conspiracy theory.
