What happened to all those leftists who repeatedly railed against the Obama administration from the left? They were often quoted and cited on this website. They were often held up as paragons of purity who did not relent in their attacks on the establishment even though Barack Obama was the President. Dennis Kucinich, Ed Shultz, Jill Stein, the Sane Progressive, Cornell West, and finally, Glenn Greenwald.
With Trump in the White House, and with Republicans holding control of all three branches of government until recently, you would expect them to lose their mind over the abuses of power perpetrated by the Trump administration. Likewise, you would expect them to rail against the persecution of journalists in countries like Russia. Did this happen? Not so much.
Instead, many of them continued to attack Democrats even though they were out of power with hardly a harsh word in reference to Republicans. Dennis Kucinich railed against the Russia investigation. Ed Schultz passed away after working for Russia Today. Jill Stein used her recount monies to fund her litigation costs. The Sane Progressive cancelled her Youtube channel, but not before spending over a year attacking the Russia investigation with nary a mention of the misdeeds of the Trump administration. Cornell West got to use his favorite prefix "Neo" for Trump by calling him a "Neofacists". Finally, Glenn Greenwald has been appearing on Fox and now spends all his time pushing RW talking points, but from the perspective of the "left."
When he is not attacking the Russia investigation, he is appearing on Laura Ingraham to take shots at the liberal media, which he calls the "mainstream media" to maintain his leftist street cred. This makes you wonder whether these "leftists" were always sock puppets to begin with. Or, did they start off in the right place, but given the attention they got from right wing outlets for attacking Democrats from the "left," they became addicted to the attention and continued to attack Democrats and Republican opponents even when Democrats were largely out of power. After all, would Breitbart or Laura Ingraham interview you if you were attacking Trump?

Glenn Greenwald, constitutional lawyer and co-founding editor of The Intercept, told Fox News on Monday night that the rush to judgment of the weekend viral video showing high school student Nick Sandmann wearing a red Make America Great Again hat and standing still in front of 64-year-old Native American Nathan Phillips was a trial by Twitter mob.
Greenwald, whose reporting on U.S. and British government surveillance in 2013 made global headlines, told Laura Ingraham: Even in the controlled courtroom setting where there is due process, and all kinds of controls to make sure evidence is prevented authentically and without distortion, its very difficult to know whos telling the truth and who isnt, what happened and what didnt. So, when he started having this kind of trial by Twitter mob, it is obvious that there is no way to have any confidence about what took place.
Many in the media and Hollywood were quick to slam the group of high school students as aggressors, but by Sunday, longer video showed other aggressors were approaching the students who remained on the steps.
Greenwald was asked on The Ingraham Angle whether any xenophobia from the left was responsible for profiling the boys.
