And as a result their powerful first words from the House floor are not typically posted as DU threads.
Still the fact remains that Axexabdria Ocasio-Cortez is very very good at delivering important messages. I look forward to hearing more like this from her over the course of her time in Congress. Well done.

She made it about one of her constituents, but also as a metaphor for the whole shutdown, as well as calling out Trump for the real reasons for remaining stubborn.
If she can remain this focused, and ditch talk of primarying other Democrats with whom she serves, she will do well.
