George Conway: 'Insane' if Trump spoke to Cohen about testimony

White House counselor Kellyanne Conway's husband George Conway tweeted on Sunday that it would be "insane" if President Trump did talk to his former lawyer Michael Cohen about his congressional testimony before it happened.

Conway's remarks came after Trump's personal attorney Rudy Giualini said on CNN that Trump might have discussed Cohen's testimony with him, calling that "perfectly normal."

"'Perfectly normal?'" Conway wrote, responding to Giuliani's comments. "It's perfectly insane for witnesses in or subjects of a criminal investigation to be discussing testimony."

Giuliani spoke on the Sunday cable news circuit following a blockbuster report from BuzzFeed News, which indicated Trump directed Cohen to lie to Congress about a deal to build a Trump Tower in Moscow.

It amazes me that Giuliani who's a former federal prosecutor would make such a statement.

But then it also amazes me that Donald Trump, a guy who's supposed to have built skyscrapers thinks the wall is a good idea. He doesn't seem to have a clue about the costs or logistics involved with such a massive project.

I don't think anyone doubts he spoke to Cohen about it. Trump thinks he's a monarch. Not an elected servant. He still thinks everyone in the government works for him directly and not the American people.

Given Giulani's statement it's pretty clear Trump did speak to Cohen. Now, we just hope there are tapes of that.
