Also blamesPhillips for drumming in (her sons) face. We all knew these kids got this entitled racist behavior from their lousy school and parents. Now we have proof.
From article:
In an email to this reporter, the mother of the student right up in Phillips face said the story was fake news. She claimed that Phillips, who she referred as a this man, in quotation marks, was drumming close to the teens face. But her biggest gripe, besides saying this reporter was promoting hate, was that she alleged the students were themselves harassed. By black Muslims.
Shame on you! Were you there? Did you hear the names the people where calling these boys? It was shameful. Did you witness the black Muslims yelling profanities and video taping trying to get something to futher (sic) your narrative of hatred?? Did you know that this man came up to this one boy and drummed in his face? Shame on you. Only reporting what you want. More fake news.
When this reporter thanked her for the correspondence and explained that it would be reported on as part of the story, she demanded the emails be deleted.
Delete my email. I want nothing to do with helping perpetuating (sic) your hate. I do not want to be a part of your story. You are ruining a boys life for fake news. Hate spreads like wildfire. I pray for you.

(8,200 posts)The parents of these children are actively cooperating in the indoctrination of their children on the misguided principle that since they are opposed to abortion and contraception that they are justified in organizing demonstrations by the student body to hold rallies at abortion clinics. These are events in which they harass and intimidate women seeking their services.
It is a clear example of the extent that religious zealots believe that they have been ordained by God Himself to impose their will on their fellow citizens. They have absolutely no respect for the concept of freedom of conscience which the founding fathers of our nation believed was of such primary importance that they made it the subject of the first Bill of Rights. They were imminently acquainted with religious persecution from which they and many of their immediate family had been subjected. They were determined not to allow the fanatical religious charlatans to recreate what they and their families had fled from. They also made it unlawful to impose any religious requirement for election to office. This key element of the Constitution is being tacitly challenged directly when religious zealots make acceptance of their dogmas a requirement for office. They have no regard for the principle of the separation of church and state and openly mock this principle from the pulpit.
It is necessary to understand the events that took place within the Catholic Church. The key issue that lead to the abandonment of thousands of priests and over 90% or the nuns and millions manning the pews every Sunday was the Catholic Church's hierarchy to refuse to accept the finding of their own commission that had been appointed by John XXIII to reexamine these issues. When then Paul VI was elected pope he released two key documents refusing to alter the church's position all hell broke out and millions of Catholics voted with their feet. These people who are engaged in this skirmish are representative of the extremists who now dominate the church. It is little wonder that young people overwhelmingly are totally disinterested in organized religions and that those who want to adhere to unacceptable doctrines have to rely on indoctrination of their children rather than voluntary acceptance. It is of no difference than the Muslim indoctrination centers and just as dangerous to our concept of freedom of conscience.

(8,200 posts)In regard to Paul VI it should be noted that the Vatican's response to the issue of contraceptive birth control was not examined in the light of the overwhelming findings of the birth control committee but solely on the basis of papal authority. Many in the hierarchy surrounding the pope feared that if the church reversed itself on a subject that had taught without any reservation as to its inherent evilness by previous popes it would destroy the authority of the papacy. What they so judiciously sought to protect in fact had the opposite effect when the vast majority of Catholics totally rejected it. The umbilical cord the clergy used for control of the Catholic laity was severed and most Catholics entered an new dimension and began reclaiming to the freedom of conscience that had been severely constrained by indoctrination. The line to the confessional box suddenly disappeared and the church would never again have its power over the minds of the vast majority of the laity.

Dear CCH Parents,
Our school annually participates in the March for Life event in Washington D.C. I have witnessed our
level of participation having grown from 84 students in 2008, to 213 students in
2017. Annually, our Colonels represent nearly one quarter of the Diocese of Covington supporters.
On a daily basis our students are given opportunities to live their faith. They include inserting the words
born and unborn at the end of the Pledge of Allegiance.

"Kids" now, compared to when I was a kid, have a lot more on the ball. They learn earlier, they absorb the world around them earlier.
As a result, I consider "kids" to be pre-teens, and teenagers as members of our society who are old enough to know better when it comes to stare-down contests.

(8,712 posts)It's an annual school event for the boys to attend the March for Life event. Extremely anti-abortion - no exceptions for medical problems.
With the beginning of a new year, the Pro-Life Office is making last minute plans for its annual pilgrimage to Washington, D.C. for the March for Life. The March for Life will be held Jan. 18. Each year it is held near the anniversary of the Roe v. Wade Supreme Court decision, which made abortion, essentially on demand, legal in the United States.
and toward the end of the letter:
As usual, Bishop Foys will attend the March for Life in Washington, D.C. and will celebrate Mass at St. Dominic Church for the pilgrims the morning of the march. Bishop Foys said that for him the Mass is a highlight and one where he sees hope.
I see the enthusiasm of all the people that are there when we have Mass at St. Dominics, the vast majority are young people from our schools but there are also other people older people, like me, and middle-aged people there making that sacrifice. I see, especially in those young people, hope for our country and hope for our Church because they are excited about what theyre doing.
