POLL: To Print or Not To Print, That is The Question?

Some states have stopped teaching children cursive handwriting. They are being taught print handwriting only.
Is this okay? How do you feel about it?

Write a comment if your state is NOT teaching cursive.

As society and technology changes, education has to change with it. Letter writing was once an important mode of communication. Now we use email.

Understanding technology is important for almost any career and even for personal safety. But I can't think of what harm would come from not knowing cursive.

I would assume this is the reasoning states and school boards are voting on hand printing only.

.

Also, kids these days have the computer skills by the time they are in middle school, as most papers now are submitted online, and verified with tools like TurnItIn.
