So when do members from the senior leadership of the Republican Party travel to the White House to have a conversation with the president. #Someonestartthecar

(7,142 posts)that Republicans confront Mitch, that's what needs to be done and it won't be easy since Mitch has a bag full of rubles, so they say.
Mazie Hirono has been out front attacking Mitch, where are the other Democratic Senators? Especially the ones who are running for president, I'm thinking of you Kirsten.

(32,706 posts)So far the Kentucky voters seem complacent over all of this. There's no grassroots movement to dump him in 2020, at least not yet. It's gonna take some serious arm-twisting in Washington, is all I can see. Who's got the power to do that, with McCain gone and almost every other GOP Senator in lock-step?
McConnell won't talk to the Dem Senators, it's gotta be done by the Repukes.

(5,995 posts)Mitch is only looking out for I/Me/Mine and the Party/Country be damned.
The only legacy he cares about is how much cash he's got stashed once the jig is up.

(32,706 posts)It would seem that his campaign fundraising comes from sources outside of Kentucky, based on what I've read. McConnell isn't beholden to the Kentucky voters for much. As for money stashed away, his wife and her family have already taken care of that.
