Why would they not give it another vote? We know the first was manipulated by Russia. Squinch Jan 2019 #2

He did the same thing there as here: stir up the low information voters into feeling resentful and blaming the powers that be. Get them to vote against their best interests. I seem to remember that the younger people didn't want it--and after all it will affect them much longer.

We and they need to be able to rewind this and do it over. Not going to happen so next best thing is get smart and fix it.

Isn't it time we started undoing the damage they did on both sides of the Atlantic?

All the public advocates for the Brexit vote have skedaddled from their lofty perches in the government, but for some reason, the tainted referendum vote has been elevated to the status of Magna Carta, and the British government doesn't want to go back for a second vote now that the public has a better understanding of the full dimensions of what Brexit means.

Before the first referendum, there seemed to be very little discussion (at least from my distant observation point on the West Coast) about what Brexit would mean, how the various intertwinings of government, commerce, work, and travel would be affected, and what it might mean if the British government couldn't negotiate favorable withdrawal terms from the EU when the EU countries had no incentive to reward Britain if it voted to leave.
