My friend Sterling can be quite caustic in his satire. I thought his latest comment was one of his better observations.

The latest episode of the Trumpian Apocalypse is not actually a shutdown... a more accurate term would be "shakedown", as the seven-year old "stable genius" (sic), Emperor Donald the Deranged, is, as is normal for him, extorting the people of the United States with his irrational knowledge-free "decisions" from the psychiatric ward that is his mind....

"shakedown" is pretty good, don't ya think?

Shakeout may be more precise. The shutdown is starting to stink of the elimination of federal jobs and agencies. Remember drumpf already put a freeze on government employee wages and the shakeout may ultimately be the elimination of those jobs. drumpf continues to move toward a dictatorship.

such a thing is possible. The mob is a bunch of crooks and thugs, no more and no less. They have damaged and hamstrung numerous societies in the past and they need to be taken down and wiped out. No ifs, buts, or then. One thing, rump is sure making an idiotic mob boss, if that's what he imitating/copying.

By the way, I watched Amarpour last night (I record the show, so I don't really know when it truly aired) and a gentleman (former senator, fbi guy, etc.) mentioned that everyone knows that there are Russians in NYC, and someone in real estate, especially rump, would have been almost guaranteed running into and/or dealing w/ Russians. He said that he was mildly perturbed by this when rump could have simply explained his Russian interactions as being part of his real estate dealings. He explained the difference between a civil and criminal indictment, etc. He also said that the translator's notes will be provided if required by the courts / etc., he also was surprised by the hiding of the translators' notes as well as not having any other non-Russians around when they were in the room meeting w/ rump.

The show was interesting and I plan on going back and rewatching (I was partly asleep so I got portions of the interview here and there). Being that this guy was/is a repug, there seems to be more and more people moving towards looking seriously at rump and saying 'what the f**k?!'. I am actually starting to believe that more and more people are seriously looking at rump in a critical light and that perhaps, just perhaps we'll have enough votes to successfully impeach.

I wonder if we can FOIA these translator notes? I also suspect that the notes have been destroyed.
