Disinviting tRump
When Dumbass first declared himself a candidate for POTUS, I was convinced a) it would never happen, and b) he was in it for the fame and the photo op. Now that we're almost halfway through his "residency" (ALERT: This Sunday Noon we can begin the downside countdown!), it's becoming obvious he doesn't even care about the photo op. When else has there been such a non-participating "resident"? He's totally checked out of his expected duties, usually by his choice, from the major to the minor.
NAFTA? Check
Veterans' honorariums? Check
WH Correspondents' Dinner? Check
Kennedy Center Honors? Check
the Barbara Bush funeral? Check
the John McCain funeral? Check
and his hope (order) to withdraw from NATO
Is there any law regarding the orderly transfer of power that requires the outgoing president be in attendance at the inaugural of the succeeding president, or is that simply tradition? (UPDATE: Yes, Google is my friend. In our history, FIVE have opted out! What fun it would be to disinvite DJT to the Democratic inaugural on 1/20/2021!)
Now that the Fabulous Nancy Pelosi has successfully opted to disinvite Dumbass from SOTU and further limit his opportunity for screen time, what are some of the other events where he could legitimately be bypassed? Any ideas?
