and there are sure attempts to keep us talking about a wall or squabble over 2020 when we need to figure out what to do about the Senators who have abdicated their responsibility to the US Constitution and want to abdicate our sovereignty to Russia.
It scares me because I fear when we get confirmation on what many of us have been saying for months and years, the kGOPb won't do a damn thing about it.
And their base will rejoice...because WE are their enemy...not the Russians. Full stop.

(3,131 posts)We know the gop is compromised with Russian money funneled through the NRA. We dont know what specifically the recipients did or agreed to. We also know gop leadership went to moscow last July 4th.
The question is whether shutting down America indefinitely was a specific goal of Putins or just a fortunate outcome. Kind of like how we dont know if the gop are stooges or active participants. I bet both are true.

(6,535 posts)despite whatever horrible shit comes out about the ongoing conspiracy against the U.S....you might think, "how can these people continue to support this guy? don't they care about their country?" etc. and the answer is clearly that they do not--it was obvious from early on in the 2016 election cycle what kind of authoritarian wannabe-autocrat they had as their candidate. A vote for fuckface was a vote against democracy. Not just against "the Democrats," but against democracy itself. These people know this and are sticking with their decision--fuckface becoming a fascist dictator is not a problem for them, it is what they want.
