Ann Coulter says Trump' is dead in the water if he doesn't build that wall.

Well, his Presidency now and for 2020 is dead in the water anyway the longer this shutdown continues. The shutdown is hurting his base as much any other voters and a couple more weeks, their economic recovery will be impossible for some.

This shutdown demonstrates Trump's selfish disrespect and callousness for his own base. And his own base is being led around by the wealthy RW Foxites who in no way are feeling any pain for this shutdown and in no way are in any danger from anyone at the southern border.

They just don't get it. They are blinded by their hate for folks they consider to be "the others."

And I hope his base is seriously hurt. I just wish it was only his base. Isn't it interesting how the traitors like Skeletor are only interested in that unrepentant 25%? Fuck the rest of Americans.

Ann Coulter is vying for supremacy over Sean Hannity in the White House. They're competing for the affections of Donald J. Trump. And to be the real President of the United States.

He doesn't actually have to build the wall, he just needs to be seen as fighting for it with every single thing he says and does. His base will NOT hold him responsible if he tries and fails.

Trump has one, and one thing only, that is his base. He can rile them up to primary any Republicon who gets in his way, and that's how he maintains power. If he compromises too much, then he risks losing them and the fear they inspire in GOP congresscritters.

This is just Coulter pressuring Trump to stay strong in keeping the shutdown going. She's betting that our side will capitulate before their side does.

Being as most agricultural subsidies go to big agribusinesses, it's probably not hurting them as much in farm country as you might think. Also, smaller communities have somewhat better support systems in places, such as churches, food banks, etc. People tend to look out for their neighbors in little towns and rural counties.

A lot of Trump's base thinks (at this point at least) that they can hold out longer than the urban and suburban folks who they see as being more dependent on the departments that are shut down. They're not going to be inconvenienced at the airport while trying to fly to Cancun to escape winter cold for a brief spell.

Even if Trump got the money, the funding will be skimmed and stolen. There will be lawsuits over the land confiscated from ranchers. Heck, there isn't a plan or a blueprint for how this thing should work or be built. The Wall is bankrupt before one meter is constructed.
