a friend of stinking pig Sean Hannity?

Franken wanted a full investigation, his accuser wanted NO investigation. It's not that hard to figure out which one is telling the truth.

And wicked smart! I miss him too, Stinky.

maybe they were mistaken about him being a strong 2020 contender. Nah...they weren't mistaken.

Some Democratic fools didn't catch on, unfortunately. So we are short on good contender. Smart, articulate, quick on his feet, hard to get anything past him, good at getting at the root of things, good communicator, witty, likable, not a long history in the Senate to attack him with, nationally known. Not perfect. But a strong contender.

So far, there's not another name in the race that comes close.

But I'm sure you'd vote for him, if he were our candidate in the general election. Sure you would.

Comedians have insights and perspective that career politicians lack. Humor is funny due to the element of truth.

George Carlin could be hilarious while passionately speaking truth to power.

Minnesota could do a lot worse than Al. He could have a listening tour and go to the counties across Minnesota to see what they think. I would imagine they would be open to him after the current governor is term limited.

He would have been out of office a long time at that point.

And, he would have to explain why he gave a public apology if he was innocent.

He apologized for inappropriate touching that offended women in pictures he took. The types of things he apologized for are not deal breakers in my book. Governor Brown of California came back after a long time away so it's not unheard of.

He never apologized for touching her. Just for the gag. I think a lot of people think he touched her. Ironically, SHE rubbed her rear end intentionally against another guy in the entertainment troop (she was twerking him personally). That same gal also claimed when they did their kissing scene in a skit, he french kissed her. He denied that.

I think he apologized generally for any touching that a woman may have thought was inappropriate (I thought at the time that he was talking about the woman who was uncomfortable with his putting his hand on her waist & giving a squeeze, when he agreed to her request for a photo with her, and he leaned in for the photo).

but that was not good enough for some Democratic Senators.

I hold a grudge against those Senators particularly Gillibrand.

They should have let the situation play out as a teaching moment and it cost the Democratic Party Franken in the Senate and his grace and skill as a national politician.
