The Pain of Trump's Shutdown!?

Would it might be wise for the Dems. to come up with a number say 3.0 billion for the asshole's Wall?
Too many Americans are being devastated by Trump's Bullshit.. He's a Lunatic...and probably will never back down..I think this play... would perhaps help the Dems.. downline... 2020 Elections?

Playing with People's Lives.... is a very tricky deal... I think the Dem's coming to the table with an offer will back the shithole (Trump) into a corner.. The danger of a catastrophic event caused by the Shutdown, will be devastating...Plus all those who rely on the govt. for. Housing, food, and other assistance programs are in real danger of ending up in the streets...

What do ya think.. ?

I'm not sure myself.. Thats why I am asking!

Trump is a sick individual, he does not care about ruining people's lives, he has a history of that. If democratic leaders give in some on the wall and get nothing in exchange but workers going back to work and getting paid, when Trump demands something else he will simply shutdown the government in an attempt to get his way and nothing else.

Now, if it is a deal for $5.7 billion in exchange for workers going back to work AND a permanent green card for Dreamers with a path to citizenship attached AND democrats get a demand that the sections of wall that are built have their locations chosen by a panel of recognized experts on border security, then democrats should jump at that with both feet. Such an agreement gets workers back on the job and solves the concerns of Dreamers AND actually helps border security (as opposed to Trump's slight of hand).

2. My opinion: First end the shutdown and get people paid

then go into negotiations.
Be very careful giving into anything. Shutdown and lockout will become (actually has become) another tool for Trump to get his way. He will use it often if it gets him what he wants.

Since the fence is so useless they should give nothing.

After all he's been saying that Mexico was going to be paying for it. Remember promises made, promises kept!

and a say in where the wall sections are built, I say jump at that, if the price is $5.7 billion, even $10 billion.

If democrats give in, he'll just keep doing this. He's the problem, not the democrats.

again...being that this seems to be the only way that he can govern. His own party, being in control of everything for two years couldn't get crap done except the tax cuts that they wanted to award their donors w/. Pathetic and makes it pretty clear whom the repugs support...

9. The evil plan is to continue the shutdown until federal workers

Are forced to find other job to feed their families, and then privatize everything.
If the Wall was his main objective, he could have declared national emergency.

There's a lot of brave posting, I suspect mostly from people not immediately and directly impacted by the shutdown. I am not personally affected because Medicare and Social Security are still running. But I'd say let's give him 5b for his stupid wall, as if anything will actually get built on land seized by eminent domain after years of court fights.

Get people back to work, back to getting paid, pay the ransom no matter the hurt to our pride.

Trump and his inner circle are happy to watch the suffering of federal workers, as if they were bugs on their backs struggling to get upright.
