Admiral to Coast Guard troops: Today you will not be receiving your regularly scheduled paycheck.

Today you will not be receiving your regularly scheduled paycheck. To the best of my knowledge, this marks the first time in our Nation’s history that servicemembers in a U.S. Armed Force have not been paid during a lapse in appropriations. Read more: https://go.usa.gov/xEDjW

Donald trump doesn’t care about anyone but himself. His own property is protected by @uscoastguard in a state where US Coast guards work the most. #Florida #Caribbean

I hope they know how much we appreciate their service. We'll keep calling and doing everything we can to get McConnell to put the House bills up for a vote.

And facing an even worse disaster in the 2020 elections for not opening the government back up now. Is putin the one behind trump and McConnell's government shutdown now?

At least in uniform.

There were some last-minute agenda changes.

and my local newspaper reprinted an article that just lambasted Pelosi and the Democrats for their bill to pay the Coast Guard. The article basically called the bill a stunt etc. I couldn't really read the article once I got the gist of it.

Republicans, now GOP Trumpers, have been programmed to hate Democrats, have been programmed to vote against their own best interests.

"You have to go out; you don't have to come back".

These men and women are willing to put their lives on the line every day.

What is being done to them is beyond shameful.

Point out that the Coast Guard are critical to border security, and Trump doesn't feel it is important enough to pay them.
