The Constitution requires 2/3 Senate ratification to enter treaties but is silent as to termination. There is a discussion here: https://www.senate.gov/artandhistory/history/common/briefing/Treaties.htm

Bush withdrew us from the ABM Treaty in 2002 without any Congressional approval. Members of Congress took it to court, but it failed.

Too many offer what amount to legal opinions with no citation or support, which either are misleading or flatly wrong. Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution does not address the termination of treaties, and Presidents have unilaterally terminated treaties in the past.

congress can stop it but won’t. If putin feels trump’s presidency is going down, he must make sure that trump pulls out of nato asap.
