Michael Strahan invites Clemson champions to a lobster dinner -- on him!!!

"I personally would like to invite the Clemson Football team here for a great meal," Strahan said Tuesday on GMA Day. "Come out here, whoever can make it. We will have lobster. Whatever you want. We gonna take care of you. We gonna give you the proper meal that you deserve because that was one great game, a great accomplishment. We thought what we could give them; I thought lobster was great. It's out of my pocket. I got you guys. I'll pay for it. No problem. Those guys deserve it. Congratulations."

NCAA rules are crazy. Barry Swittzer once gave a player a plane ticket to go to his moms funeral. The NCAA sanctioned him.

He wasn't on scholarship, couldn't afford school, went the community college route hoping to get on the team the next year, but because he had received monetary assistance from a friends' dad the NCAA banned him. He couldn't even get loans for some reason... it's incredulous to the Germans.

The guy is so leveraged, and I bet he's running negative assets and always has - has he ever had any actual money of his own? I think he's just always spending other peoples' other, even if it's cloaked as a "loan".

Maybe not, but that's how it seems.

What's next? Some rich GOPer offers a steak and lobster dinner to them in Bermuda?

Though maybe Strahan is a GOPer. I have no idea. I barely know who he is, and was surprised to see that he's an African-American - I thought Michael Strahan was the wrestler douchenozzle guy who's on TV who proposed to his fiance on a wrestling mat.

So maybe I got the sport wrong, but this guy definitely looks like a sports guy.

The dude's one of the hosts of Good Morning America on ABC AND one of the panelists on Fox's NFL Sunday. Plus he does ads for Subway (among others) and has even begun showing up in movies. He's all over the place. AND he played 15 years of football with the Giants, going to the Super Bowl and making it into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

His wealth and accomplishments far, far exceed those of Lord Littlehands. And that's got to chap his orange hide.
