And I hope the WH has plenty of toilets. Imagine feeding that many people fast food. I bet it was nasty!

Melania and Donald live in completely separate parts of the White House. There wouldn't be any problem with her inviting a few defensive backs to look at her etchings.

Yuck! Actually cold pizza might be edible, but not the other stuff.
Feel sorry for those guys, they deserved better.

I have to think reporters are trying to get some of them talking. I wonder what pressure they were under to attend and now not to talk about it

They don’t look particularly happy to be there. Maybe it’s having to dress up and act proper but I would expect more excitement. Their eyes aren’t happy.

Did they get to sit down to enjoy their feast? Or did they have to stand with their big mac boxes with wrapped burgers on that fancy china?

Notice that guy on the bottom right taking a picture. I predict we’ll see more pictures over the next week or two. I hope no e of the players winds up in trouble.

It could be projection on my part but most to the guys in the photo look as though they're thinking "This is some bullshit."

9. Putting aside the idiocy of serving fast food, am I the only one wondering why the White House

provided salad plates for the players to eat their fast food on? The big guy with the red beard has two Big Macs stacked one on top of the other. Where is the second one going to go while he eats the first? One the linen table cloth? What about the fries? You just know Trump, as a considerate host, provided fries, and ketchup.

Are the White House Butler and Chief Usher on furlough, too?

This should teach all future sportsball teams a lesson about winning a championship while Trump's in the White House.

I'll bet not! He missed his opportunity to get pictures of all of them embracing in prayer....

Made a little joke about how he could have had Melania and Karen make salads in the absence of kitchen staff, but they would have been (dismissively) little salads, so HE decided to order in real food (man food, you know, not lady food) and HE paid for it. He said there were 300 burgers. But the next time he described it the feast had grown in the telling to 1,000 burgers. His generosity grew in the telling, kind of like Jesus multiplying the loaves and the fishes.

And then he walked away.

One of the team was heard to mutter, regarding the menu: "I thought it was a joke." Those poor kids -- it really was a kind of Trumpian joke: "Look at me, look at me, look how clever I am" posing for cameras, with zero regard for the people in the room he had tricked into coming. And this will be their memory of their splendid and special White House Dinner that they got dressed in their best for: soggy french fries and cold burgers, and a host who used them for a lousy photo op all about himself.

He brought ONE box of Kentucky Fried chicken for us to share. He really said: do you want the potatoes or the cole slaw?

It's been over 20 yrs since I have eaten any of that junk fast food. i don't think I could force myself to take a bite.
