Great being with the National Champion Clemson Tigers last night at the White House. Because of the Shutdown I served them massive amounts of Fast Food (I paid), over 1000 hamberders etc. Within one hour, it was all gone. Great guys and big eaters!

I know the NCAA changed its food rules in 2014 after UConn's Shabazz Napier complained about being hungry, but even under the new rules, would an outside interest (i.e. not the university) buying food violate them, It sounds stupid, but often times, so is the NCAA.

If so (or even if not), I would think a more knowledgeable executive would have quickly followed the fast food buffet announcement with a declaration like, "And if the ridiculous NCAA and their stupid food rules have a problem with me buying some athletes food at the White House, they're gonna have answer to me!"

It would have been a masterful pivot to change the news cycle, but fortunately, no.
