There's a lot of really pissed off ladies on my tv news machine today

I rarely watch tv news but it makes for some very exciting entertainment today! I saw the head of Planned Parenthood, (an organization romney/rape PROMISES to eliminate when president), say that there was a huge spike in donations to Planned Parenthood after rush pig-mouth called all women sluts.

She said that though the slut comment created a lot of righteous outrage, it also had a reverse effect or strengthening the resolve of a lot of women and actually getting them more politically activated. Hell, this is a GOOD thing. Maybe crazy uncle toddy, the co-author of the 'RE-DEFINING RAPE' amendment with paul, 'one heartbeat away from being president' ryan, and his crazy ass insulting comments will do the same, energize more SANE people to get out and vote against the increasingly dangerous tea bag republicans.

One thing's for sure, akin has stirred up one humongous hornet's nest and there are some truly, deeply pissed off women on my tv news machine today.

2. Why can't the asswipes get it through their thick skulls - Planned Parenthood is NOT about abortion!

There's so much it does to prevent abortion that you would expect any legitimate "pro-life" candidate to embrace it. Oh, wait. I used the "legitimate" word.

I can't get over how amazingly moronic and downright idiotic these men are. They obviously live in a bubble that keeps them completely insulated from any normal human. And I really have to wonder about their wives. How can they have any respect for their husbands when their husbands obviously have no respect for them?

I prefer to think of it as a kind of casual malevolence, though. Not unlike Bush pretending to look under his desk for WMDs.

They only look out of touch- by their actions, they are giving a green light to the worst impulses of their base...

But it makes sense in context- Ayn Rand's BS is basically "might makes right, as long as I agree with it."

aka: Find a victim. Beat, rob and rape him/her, blame said victim for it. Rinse and repeat.

That's why I've called it "casual malevolence" and "encouraging barbarism." Very scary how "acceptable" this has all become since Bush was voted into the WH by SCOTUS.

Just like how racism does not only exist on the Right.

They are the worst offenders, but the culture that promotes racism and sexism is broader than them.

This is a cold, calm place and the feeling is permanent.

Nothing but their utter destruction will suit now.

Fortunately, things seem to be headed in that direction. Finally.

I'm sick to death of it. Except for a short period in this country's history and except for a few places in the world woman are still just a step away from being considered by a great many men in leadership positions to be possessions, to be done with as the men see fit. The men are the real people, the important ones. They're the ones endangered by these awful vindictive uppity women claiming they didn't really want it, or taking away the jobs from the ones who deserve them by virtue of being men.

Vote, women. Vote while you still can.

Sad that it takes something like this to do the journalists job for them... they should have been writing about Ryan's past in regard to his Draconian views on women, reproduction, and rape.
