I was awakened from my afternoon nap today by this voice on the radio:

Today, I am an inquisitor. And hyperbole would not be fictional and would not overstate the solemness that I feel right now. My faith in the Constitution is whole, it is complete, it is total. And I am not going to sit here and be an idle spectator to the diminution, the subversion, the destruction, of the Constitution. A president is impeachable if he attempts to subvert the Constitution.


Let's hope it's some kind of portent, even though I don't actually believe in such things.

And interestingly, much of the rest of the discussion was on immigration, and how Barbara Jordan's efforts to reform immigration policy are relevant to the situation today. It makes for quite a good read, as well as a good listen.
