(1,584 posts)obstructionist of the Senate. Those that we elected to office are being denied their rights to represent their constituents. This denies life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness to many, many families. Trump, Ryan, and McConnell have done more to destroy our government than decades of hostile activities. We will not recover soon. It's snowing outside now but very soon those snowflakes on the White House lawn should become, not just Federal employees, but all voters including military families who are also suffering.

(146,318 posts)It can be changed, of course, but such changes are unlikely.
The voters can reject Mitch McConnell at his next election, too. That's far more likely than any fantasy of impeaching him or his being ejected from the Senate.

(4,490 posts)Takes a 2/3 vote of the Senate to do it. Won't happen, but it's still easier than impeachment. 15 Senators have been expelled.
Edit: I see you already said that lol.

(42,715 posts)There have not been identical bills to end it passed in both houses of the current congress. And the bills passed last year and this year weren't identical. And it's not really an impeachable offense for a president not to have done anything regarding legislation that hasn't reached his desk or even to veto (or actually veto) a bill to fund the government (unless of course you believe that Bill Clinton committed an impeachable offense when he vetoed a funding bill passed by the Republican congress in 1995, leading to a two-week government shutdown (and his threat to veto a new funding bill which led to a 21 day shutdown starting a month later and carrying over into 1996).
And the bond rating organizations have not downgraded the country's credit rating and the country hasn't breached the debt ceiling (yet) -- unlike in 2011.
