I have a hunch that Lindsey Graham “blows off report” that Trump is a compromised Russian agent because Russia has compromising pics of Lindsey blowing off more than reports.

being blackmailed into compliance, either by the Kremlin or some among our own right-wing plutocrats, or both. Being dirty is virtually literally a requirement to get big-money funding for a Republican seat these days.

I expect the same to be true for some journalists and people in business and law. Russia's been exporting corruption for decades, and our own plutocrats have been heavily embedding their own corrupting agents in all institutions for the past 40 years.

Besides institutionalized corruption here, and positions filled specifically with dishonorable, criminally-minded types, since the end of the Cold War many enterprising people tried to do business or have other associations in the ex- Soviet Union. We know that all of them would have been targeted there for compromise as well, only questions who were roped in.
