I think he's so stupid that he will continue to think he'll get away with all of this. He always has. And I think the hammer will come down on him before the light finally dawns, if it ever does. Also I don't get the logistics: I doubt the Secret Service would just let him go and we know he's incapable of planning/pulling off a vanishing trick.

As for his family a lot of the same issues apply. Clueless and covered by the Secret Service. (Ivanka thinks she's going to head the World Bank! And/or be our first woman president!)

I doubt if Putin would want him anyway. His usefulness would be gone and he's only an asset, not an ally or--Dawg forbid--a friend. I think he will burn his assets once they have been exposed, squeezing the last drop of chaos out of the debacle. Or maybe Putin wants to maintain the (im)plausible deniability charade (he wants us to know what he's done, but will see no reason to confess to it). Maybe he'll figure a way to do both.

I also think Putin will do something big in the Spring or earlier if it looks like Trump is blown. Putin needs to use it or lose it.
