but still dealing with my own personal issues with the NYT.

I believe we MUST support the 4th estate, but damn, so many times the NYT has seemed to crawl into the corner and put their thumb in their mouth and whimpered.

I want to support those that will do FACTS - only FACTS - not this "equal time/balance" bullshit. THAT is not worth supporting.

Both are indespensable and highly recommended.

Also “The New Yorker” (unbroken subscription for 43 years) and “The Atlantic” magazines.

They can thank Trump, and their coverage of him, for their increased subscriptions.

He has done more to juice their online subscriptions than any marketing campaign could have.

I live in Dallas and subscribe to the Dallas Morning News because any newspaper is important these days. But I rely on the Washington Post and New York Times for the real news.

DMN just fails to report on many things or buries important stories on the back pages. WP and NYT lead with what is going on. Neither is perfect (someone at NYT seems to be protecting Trump), but their reporters do some great journalism.

I always wanted a subscription but after doofus I certainly wanted one. I realized with my Amazon prime it was cheap, so I only pay like 5 dollars a month. It's so worth it! I'm on there daily. I love reading the comments too, just like here it makes me feel good that there are like minded people.

Maggie Haberman, both-siderism and that late-campaign article—never withdrawn, explained or apologized for—stating investigators had found no coordination between the Trump campaign and Russia caused my breakup with the NYT. There are articles of theirs that I cheer on (Donald’s inheritance from his dad) and am sorry I’m missing, but they have published enough junk since 2015 that I will not resubscribe.
