Michael Cohen agrees to testify before House committee before heading to prison!!

https://www.cnbc.com/2019/01/10/ex-trump-lawyer-michael-cohen-to-testify-to-house-oversight-committee.html

Cohen’s planned Feb. 7 appearance is voluntary. He said Thursday it will give him the opportunity “to give a full and credible acount of the events that have transpired.”

The hearing will come two-and-a-half months months after he pleaded guilty to lying to Congress in 2017 about details of an aborted Trump real-estate project in Moscow, Russia.

Last week, the House of Representatives and its committees came under the control of the new Democratic majority, which has vowed to use its power to investigate a range of controversies involving the Republican Trump and his administration.

Cohen’s decision to testify at the Oversight Committee is the latest example of his radical transformation from a hardcore Trump loyalist who once said he would be willing to take “a bullet” for the president, to a harsh critic and signficant legal threat to the Trump.

On the networks? Be still my heart!

I was on leave from my job during the Watergate hearings. I was watching the day Alexander Butterfield announced that everything that went on in the Oval Office was taped. It was amazing.

I can't believe any current network executive would cancel their regular crappy programing to broadcast something important. But if it happens, it'd be deja vu all over again. Can't wait.

1. The fucking moon's base will get a few seeds planted in their tiny, little minds that their dear leader not only knew about Russia's crimes but worked with Russia and this continued after the election. When others testify, like Don Jr, more and more of his cult will turn against him. The Dems said they would do this and they are keeping their word. We do not need to wait for Mueller's report to hope for his base to wake up to the truth.

2. This IS scaring the fucking moron and he will be angry and dangerous more than he ever has so far. Time to find a hiding place. The shut down may go on forever as well as other dangerous distractions.

the House Intel Comm and Don Jr. He hasn't gotten to the details of it yet, they are still talking about Cohen and how he is a credible witness. They can subpoena Don Jr as well as Kushner, Stone, etc.

He'll under-report. He'll be offered an off-shore nest eggs for his kids if he just tells some of what he knows and not all.

There's lots of ways to get the message to him.

I don't think ratting on a mob figure like T is all that easy to get away with.

He has nothing to gain by holding back. Trump is not going to pardon him. Ever. But maybe a subsequent President will...if he's forthcoming.

He seems to be bucking for a place in history like John Dean. I think he has even compared himself to Dean, but that could have been someone else.

There would be a later book deal for a lot of money. A place in history as one of the good guys. Speaking engagements. A way to get some semblance of reputation back, for the sake of his kids.

...back to get a pardon, when that will never happen.

I'm more referring to that huge unknown secret deal---some corruption, or something with Russia---something big---that he's being bribed to not tell. They've made it worth his while to not do the Big Tell.

I just don't trust this flip after so many years relishing Trump shit.

The Mueller investigation is secret.

Yes, I know you weren't suggesting that. I was saying that there's no good reason to hold back at this point. He has been shunned & betrayed by Trump. He has a few things to gain.

I don't know who would be paying him. Trump and his family won't. Mueller would find out. They have surveillance on their accounts, even the ones they may have done laundering through.

I think he's worried about his reputation and not being thought of as a traitor or a weak hit man for Trump. For the sake of his family. Maybe a future pardon from the next President.

From what I read, her father adores her. Michael Cohen's kids are likely set as is.

This may be Cohen's chance to get right with New York Federal prosecutors, they are the ones that sent him to jail.

Law Schools should bring Dean in at the start of the senior law year to talk to the seniors. He has learned some important moral lessons and sharing them would be important, IMO.

He was one of the agressive young guns for Nixon, but ended up in prison, being divorced, shamed. He took that all and learned from it and why what he had done when younger was wrong, unlike clowns like Colson.
