What? Trump raised money off last night's speech?

https://www.yahoo.com/entertainment/donald-trump-fundraises-off-national-213621448.html

Snip

But, his re-election campaign is fundraising off the address, in which he will discuss the border “crisis” and his government shutdown.

Trump, in an email sent to his base Tuesday afternoon, asked for donations to his “Official Secure the Border Fund” through the Trump Make America Great Again Committee. That’s a joint fundraising committee for the Trump campaign and the RNC.

“We need to raise $500,000 in ONE DAY,” the email reads. “I want to know who stood with me when it mattered most so I’ve asked my team to send me a list of EVERY AMERICAN PATRIOT who donates to the Official Secure the Border Fund,” stated the Trump-signed memo. “Please make a special contribution of $5 by 9 PM EST.”

Thanks

3. I was remembering when Al Gore caught hell for making some fundraising calls from the WH

Is pimping out the Oval Office the same thing?

That incident with Gore is when the phrase "No controlling legal authority" was introduced to our lexicon, although there is a law about fundraising in the WH. Not the Hatch act.

5. Lawrence O'Donnell started his show last night with this story.

Lawrence said that both before and after his speech he hit them up for donations that were for his reelection campaign and not the wall as he led people to believe. During his show tonight the fake prez sent a tweet to Lawrence calling him crazy, etc. HA! Lawrence said tRump hates him and is somewhat proud of that. It is like a badge of honor.

7. Except for Lawrence, the media is missing the boat on this.

This should be the headliner story for media outlets. It's a really sick move at the expense of the furloughed Federal workers. The only way they should even begin to talk about the wall and the shutdown.

9. ... and if appropriated, every cent of that 5.7 Billion $ will find it's way into his pocket, too.

I stand by it.

Old Yeller is playing the only game he knows. There will never be any wall and he could care less about it. He is working his con. The US Government is being held hostage and it's citizens are the marks.

He has decided he's owed $5.7 Billion for being President and this is how he's getting it.

Otherwise we’d be hearing how it broke all the records ever in all of history!
