Is Trump's gov shutdown an attempt to destroy government as a whole or really for "security"?

I think he, McConnell, Graham are trying to destroy government as we previously knew it at the behest of the Koch Brothers/Corporations.

What do you think?

That every single one of those suckers will pull the lever for him in 2020.

My hope is that, right now, Mueller is working on a Trump Shutdown that could last from 50 years to life.

But Bannon and his ilk want to destroy the government. They want their ethno-state and this is one way to do that.

It didn't work in 2016 (stolen election) and it won't work now.

Trump is utterly ignorant about the issue (actually it is worse, he is utterly misinformed and delusional), which is one of the many reasons he's impossible to negotiate with.

Another prominent reason he's impossible to negotiate with is that he is ONLY concerned with "winning," but to him winning means getting everything he imagines he wants and giving nothing -- i.e. not a real negotiation at all.

He could end the whole thing with a rap of his gavel, but, has so far refused.

I have two questions:

1) Why?

2) How come more isn't being made out of his failure in the media and by the opposition leadership?
