Facebook's ad-generating tendrils must be the smartest AI around...

So, my Google searches are tied to a generic gmail acct i never use

My Bing searches are tied to a generic outlook.com email acct I only use for accumulating Bing search pts

My Facebook acct is on another email (a domain I own)

Today, I was looking up tire options/prices from a couple places near my home. My daughter's car needs a new set soon.

Now, my FB ads i see at the top of my feed have been geared toward PC parts (ordered parts from Best Buy after they price matched to Amazon and Newegg) or they've been about Nissan or Mazda...trying to decide what the next car purchase will be next fall. But today, magically changed to one of the tire places I've been researching. So, somehow, probably thru linking of IP addresses to emails used at various search engines, our info is shared more than we can imagine.

by your visit to the Tire Shop's website ...

I may be wrong, but I'm not sure it's quite as complicated as you're thinking
