This has been the missing link for a while: where Russia got the voter targeting info

We know Russia hyper-targeted social media and other Internet ads using precinct-level voter data (they even paid Facebook in rubles).

The question has been: where did they get that voter data? It was conceivable they got it from the DNC hack, or from the much-less-publicized RNC hack. It was also possible they got it from the hacks of state voter registration systems.

The Manafort filing is important because it means Mueller has evidence that Trump's campaign manager was personally sending voter data and internal polling to a Russian operative.

No wonder he wants a shutdown.
