Jared Kushner is telling senators that public support will shift toward Trump after speech

Negotiations around the ongoing government shutdown are still at a standstill, but there's work going on behind the scenes.

Among those making calls to senators is Trump administration official Jared Kushner, who has called at least one Democratic senator, according to a source briefed on the matter.

Kushner’s message: Public support will grow for the border wall after Trump’s speech tonight and his Thursday visit to the border.

The hope is to rally GOP support and pick up at least one Democratic defector, the source said.

I'm not sure Manchin is a lock; it all depends on the agenda Miller/Hannity is pushing in the POSUSA's speech tonight. I suspect this is basically a Hannity production with Miller's assistance.
Hannity thinks he's all that when it comes to political persuasion of the Bib-Lie cultists, and probably believes that with enough prevarication and outright lies, he can gin up a wave of righteous indignation against the Democrats that could "energize" the conserva-zombie base.

They don't eat brains; they have to destroy intelligence to survive.

If a Dem actually defects, all hell is going to break loose. I won’t watch MF45 tonight. It is my hope that he goes off the fucking rails like we’ve never seen before.

Not even sure THAT is going to happen but it's not like the Democrats in the Senate are going to have sudden lobotomies and support "The Wall"

I think Miller knows how to manipulate the Kushners who are not very bright and easily led by appealing to their sense of victimhood, mutual Jewish faith, and of course, gratuitous flattery.

Others who clashed with Jervanka are gone. Miller remains even though many of his stances would seem to be at odds with the supposedly moderate views of Trump's primary fetish object and her husband.
