Whoopi Goldberg to Ocasio-Cortez: "Sit Still For A Minute And Learn The Job"

"There are a whole bunch of people in the Democratic party who have been busting their asses to make sure that women get what they need, people get what they need, children get what they need," Goldberg said.

"So you just got in there. And I know you got lots of good ideas, but I would encourage you to sit still for a minute and learn the job... because there are people in that party who have been working their tails off for this country, and they know a lot.

And you could learn some stuff from them" Goldberg advised Ocasio-Cortez.

Goldberg cited experienced Democratic politicians Sen. Dianne Feinstein and Rep. John Lewis as examples of who Ocasio-Cortez should be more deferential to.

While Ocasio-Cortez has mocked the GOP’s efforts to attack her, Goldberg’s criticism will be harder to swat down as she is one of the show’s longtime liberal voices.

She didn’t say AOC should sit still against Trump.

She said AOC should listen to and learn about the job from her Democratic colleagues in Congress.

I’m not sure what I think of Whoopi’s statement, but we should be honest about what she actually said.
