The Con - "the American people will not pay for the wall."

https://www.bbc.com/news/world-us-canada-38760671

Donald Trump has hit out at Mexico after its president cancelled next week's visit to the White House.

The diplomatic spat comes a day after Mr Trump unveiled his plan to build a barrier along the Mexico-US border.

Mr Trump told Republican lawmakers in Philadelphia that the two leaders had mutually agreed to cancel the summit, adding, "the American people will not pay for the wall."

"Unless Mexico is going to treat the United States fairly, with respect, such a meeting would be fruitless, and I want to go a different route. We have no choice."

not just CNN and MSNBC they keep saying the dems and trump can't agree on a plan. They should be quoting all the coo coo bananas that happens every fricking day. They need to acknowledge every day that people don't want to work for trump and keep quitting. This normalization of what is happening right now is catastrophic.

Trump has systematically gutted government, thwarted separation of powers, and is now drowning the baby in the bathtub in plain view.

Perhaps the Dem leaders should demand plans, and studies, etc
before even considering it. (Then say no). I have had two construction
companies and worked on some large projects, some federal.
You can't just walk up to a customer and give them a price without
explaining first in great detail what they're getting for their money.
To spanky, just getting some money is a victory. We must NOT let that happen.

And it proves that the mantra insisting that Mexico would pay for the wall was never meant metaphorically. Another whopping lie made viable to the right due to the deplorables' stupidity, gullibility and short attention span.

Look at all his wins since January 2017 when he said this shite.

Look over there! It's Mexico's fault.
No, No, look over there! It's the Dem's fault!

Maybe next it will be the furloughed federal worker's fault. They are striking aren't they?

I think it was Kellyanne Conjob who coined the phrase "alternative facts." She was wrong, it is apparently an alternate sanity.

It's too early for alcohol! Or is it?

Incompetence

They need an "issue" that they can campaign on

Because enough of them don't really want a wall

I recently read a post that indicated the wall was just a tool to get 'rump to remember to talk about immigration. Three or four years ago I wouldn't have given that sort of story any credibility. Now I think that it very well could be true. You just can't make this stuff up.

for the MFer's Wall. Sweeten the deal by allowing Mexican companies to build it -- they can do it faster, cheaper and with higher quality than Trump cronies. It has the appearance that Mexico pays (but USA actually does). The optics work.
