AOC flattens Scalise

You’re the GOP Minority Whip. How do you not know how marginal tax rates work?

Oh that’s right, almost forgot: GOP works for the corporate CEOs showering themselves in multi-million💰bonuses; not the actual working people whose wages + healthcare they’re ripping off for profit.

Backstory:

First, Ocasio-Cortez talked about a 70% tax rate on incomes above $10M. (Which, by the way, is lower than the top tax rate in the 70s, and that kicked in at an even lower income. So this is moderate compared to our history.)

Then, nincompoop Steve Scalise tweeted a nonsensical attack on her. He misunderstood, perhaps intentionally (or maybe he is that dim), that we have a progressive tax code and she’s proposing a marginal tax rate.

(Side note: money grubber Grover Norquist tweeted an equally nonsensical attack on her, with more hateful words.)

Then, AOC dropped the boom.

Bravo. Fighters are what we need.

Ah well. Maybe my backstory part is helpful for context. I’ll leave this one up.

Good for AOC!!
