Hillary Clinton has reportedly met with a number of possible candidates for the 2020 Democratic presidential nominee -- a process that is believed to have gone on for months.
Candidates including Sen. Elizabeth Warren, D-Mass., Sen. Cory Booker, D-NJ, Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and L.A. Mayor Eric Garcetti, have met with the 2016 nominee, according to Axios, and that she has meetings scheduled with other hopefuls.
"A bunch have picked her brain," a longtime Clinton confidant said.
CNN, meanwhile, reported that they are not just asking for advice, but seeking her support if they choose to run. While Clinton has largely retired from public life, she still holds significant sway with some areas of the Democratic Party and she could play a role as kingmaker in what like is likely to be a packed primary field.

The race to court Hillary Clinton has begun.
The former secretary of state and 2016 Democratic presidential nominee has talked about the 2020 election with Sen. Kamala Harris, Sen. Cory Booker, Sen. Elizabeth Warren, Colorado Gov. John Hickenlooper and Los Angeles Mayor Eric Garcetti, according to two sources close to Clinton, and there are plans for her to talk with other contenders.
The meetings with Clinton are a sign that potential Democratic presidential candidates see value in her endorsement. Clinton maintains a devoted group of supporters around the country (she won over 65 million votes just two years ago) and a strong fundraising network.
The sources close to Clinton tell CNN that the five Democrats she has met with and others waiting for a meeting are asking for her support if they run.
"People are direct in saying they want her support," the source said. "Others are reaching out."
The assumption among people around Clinton is that the former nominee will sit out the Democratic primary and get behind the eventual nominee, but one source cautioned that things could change based on how the primary plays out.

(44,205 posts)Did you see the link in the middle of the Fox Piece to another Fox article claiming Bernie launched a sexist attack on Liz Cheney?
I doubt you really want to promote Fox News and their nonsense on DU, from what I know from all your great posts.
Have a great night.

(44,205 posts)There was a link to the both the CNN article and the Axios article right there in the Fox Article you posted.
I dont live online either. It took me 5 seconds to copy the CNN link and post it.
It would have taken you 5 seconds to do the same.
I already said I like your posts. I have no interest in putting you on ignore.
I am not attacking you. I am merely suggesting you might consider finding better sources to post on DU than that vile Pro-Trump anti-Democratic propaganda outlet
I cant come up with any reason to post Fox News articles on DU, implicitly promoting that wretched news organization on DemocraticUnderground when it is simple to find a more reputable source.
YMMV
Have a great night.
