I think the shutdown is more than just about a wall...

The republic party has now manage to shut down all of the government agencies that they hate. There is no interest to reopen the government by the republics. They want it closed and shut down permantly. Then they will have an orgasm privatizing all the agencies and their functions, meanwhile screwing everyone who is not a millionaire or billionaire.

This has been the republic/teabagger/Koch-libertarian goal for more the 40 years.

Republicans thought the shutdown was averted. The White House thought it was averted. Only when Trump saw Limbaugh's reaction did he change his mind at the last moment. The White House wasn't prepared. They didn't even know what would be shut down.

It is a temper tantrum from a baby with no plan and no strategy.

Just like announcing the Syrian withdraw via tweet. No one saw that coming.

Read that some grand juries are not able to meet. I’m thinking they want to save Trump’s ass and are delighted for juries not to work.
