Here’s Trump using cun*t in public... also fu@k, motherfu@ckers, bit@h, a$$, bull$hit, $hit, pu$$y, and saying he has “sex” in common with daughter Ivanka.

Spare me your conservative “civility.” Hypocrites all. You worship this. You are complicit.

I, for one, despair at the notion that Trump is now somehow the standard for acceptable behavior.

There are indeed a select few individuals in this world that flatly do not function on a Human level of discourse. Typically they aren't anywhere near having any sort of power. Sometimes, they are. Chamberlain tried to work things out with one, didn't work out so well.

Politics has *always* been theater. Not every play is going to be Rodgers and Hammerstein. Sometimes our elected actors need to fit into different roles when the curtain goes up. With Trump, it's a deliberate strategy to be aggressive to his face. He's so used to walking all over people, he can't handle people kicking his teeth in. They want him to meltdown and implode.

Just stop. Dems aren't Trump. We don't want to be like him, act like him, or applaud our side when they go off track and behave less becoming of the leaders we elected them to be.

It really amazes me how DU just LOVES when a politician uses a profanity, but everyone (not you malaise) is rushing to say mother f*cker all of a sudden. Several threads yesterday and today with everyone gleefully jumping in.

Same thing when he said p*ssy. Same posters delightedly using the word over and over again. It’s like children when they hear an adult use a “bad” word. Ooh, he/she said “ass!” Hee hee!

I don’t want to be on his level. I find it curious so many do.

Childish.

The profanities are harmless. I worry way more about repeating the likable v unlikable BS or spreading the Con's tweets. Those do harm and spread confusion among those who should know better.
Fuck form let's deal with content. While we fight about the use of profanity the Con and his goons are attempting to change the entire content of the socio-economic and political system.

It’s just the silly p*ssy threads and endless f-bomb threads lately, as though everyone is trying to outdo the previous poster.

Just reminds me of 6th grade.

It doesn’t matter. I just trash those anyway.

He's a Studio 54 scumbag, for fuck's sake! Den of iniquity and where he got his "sniffing" problem.

In 2009, I saw Carrie Fisher's one-woman show, "Wishful Drinking," at the Studio 54 theater. She looked up at the balcony where I was sitting and said, "Wow! That's the first time I looked up there and didn't see people fucking!"

They have nothing to stand on in this regard. It is the intent and the actions that matter. Swearing Etc. will never make a dem or a dem values supporter like “them” and it is just stupidity to to think it does. The real profanity is what they are doing to this country and to its people.

when he uses that language? So how is it okay for our side to do it. If it's bad when he talks like that in public, but just terribly cool when our side does, then we display the same hypocrisy that is the hallmark of the republican party. Either it is okay for trump to talk about grabbing pussy or is isn't.

There are a lot of reasons that our freshman representative's gutter talk is not nearly as bad a trump's, that her semi-private grandstanding is not as bad as the orange pig's public pronouncements. I have on multiple occasions berated the right for sucking up to a blowhard who talks like a mafia pig. I can't condone things by our representatives that I condemn in trump. That would be hypocritical.

I understand the young woman's desire to pump up the crowd, but if she wants to be a politician, she is going to have to learn to be smarter than that. For politics sake, she has removed one of the things that we could label trump with. Now, I can't complain about a crude ass in the oval office with a 12 year-old's potty mouth. If I do, all I will hear will be that both sides are the same. Evangelicals just breathed a sigh of contented relief.

I still have lots to tar the buffoon with, but now there is one less attack available.

“It’s not ok when our side does it, it’s not ok when anyone does it...”, but I think they are missing the point. Whether or not it should be acceptable to hear that language from our elected officials, the fact of the matter is right wing media types are having a fit over hearing a Democrat official using profane language, all the while ignoring the many vile quotes that have come from tRump. It’s about the hypocrisy...
