National Geographic Channel has pulled Neil deGrasse Tyson’s pop culture and science talk show, StarTalk, from the air while Fox Networks Group investigates multiple claims of sexual misconduct against the celebrity astrophysicist.

At the end of November, two women came forward to accuse Tyson of sexual misconduct. One woman, a physics and astronomy professor who knew Tyson through professional circles, said he groped her at a party in 2009. The other, a former assistant of Tyson’s, said he propositioned her for sex and told her she was too “distracting” to advance in her career.

The accusations weren’t the first against Tyson, however. Following several blog posts over the years, a woman named Tchiya Amet, spoke out again in 2017 about how Tyson drugged and raped her when they were both grad students in 1984.

No woman needs to put up with sexual harassment and being pawed. shame on the Doctor.

It happened to me when I was younger and it was a horrible experience. This one guy made my life misrerable and I complained several times, nothing was done. I left the job I liked because I couldn’t take the guy harassing me daily and no one helping me. In my edit interview I cited his harassment. After I left he started going after other woman and eventually he was transferred to another branch.
