His position is that Trump has to agree with Democrats, so he doesn't need to be at the meetings. Which is smart, because if he went, Pelosi would pressure him for a vote.

The leader of the Senate is on Russia's payroll, and that hasn't raised a stink ?? Maybe 45 really is running interference for them all, with the press too busy chasing the Trumpian clown car to devote proper attention to the rest of the corrupt GOP.

it dives deeper. There's a lot of research out there on how far the tentacles of corruption spread around the world. Balsonaro is a scary one that isn't even really on the radar; but it's a fore shadow.

Sixty-nine percent of Americans support the Mueller probe and want to see it through to the end. Why doesn’t Mitch McConnell? This incredible international drama of intrigue and conspiracy has a new name to add to the cast of characters hastening the downfall of our democracy – Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell.

Mitch enters the story through his brother-in-law, Jim Breyer, a global tech venture capitalist. Mitch is married to Secretary of Transportation Elaine Chao, and Jim’s married to her sister, Angela, CEO of the family’s shipping enterprise.

I always thought she was there as some sort of side communication channel regarding China business issues -- and not transportation.

Now relations with China are a mess and any personal financial advantage for her may be moot.

I think she has also worked as a useful extra source of inside info to tell Turtle.

She has always been hiding in plain sight and Turtle has milked his position just about as much as possible. So why stay?

The only possible reason for her to stay that I can imagine is IF a big infrastructure/transportation bill gets through, she can screw with it to guide the contracts and get her cut.

SA and other countries outside the government. Her brother in law is Jim Breyer (Married to her sister Angela) and he brought in Putin/Russia to Facebook and Twitter and is selling our infrastructure to SA and other countries through Blackstone Group. Mitch is in deep with Blavatniks money (Jim's college friend) et all. I posted the link to my column in another post. If you don't find it, let me know.

I sure am watching for such a signal from her or Mitch. His history is one of winning in the end; that sure doesn't portend going down with Trump. Is it possible his stance will lead to Repubs dumping Trump with him leading the posse? Good post, Malaise!
