One point from Trump's idiotic press conference

Trump's press conference was gibberish, as usual. However, one point needs emphasis.

He claimed that previous presidents supported his wall. Let's look at that for a moment.

The living presidents are Jimmy Carter, Bill Clinton, George W. Bush and Barack Obama. We can immediately eliminate Carter and Obama. Clinton probably hates Trump as much as anyone leaving Bush. Using simple logic, would Bush really support building a wall all the way across the Texas/Mexico border? Nope.

Once again, Trump lied.

It would be remarkable if those four men signed a joint statement disavowing Trump's ridiculous claim.

in just about every place where it made sense to do it.

They were all smart enough to know that building a wall across 2,000 miles of deserts and mountains is a colossal waste of resources.

Trump's problem is that he thinks he needs to build a "bigger, better" wall to prove his manhood. Trump needs a better travel agent for his ego trip.

And as you wrote, it was because it was sensible.

My point was simply to ask, "Which previous presidents endorsed your wall, Trump?"

He lies like an old threadbare rug.

actually gave five minutes consideration to the detrimental ecological/environmental concerns such a structure would raise. Desert biosphere is very sensitive and fragile. Not very many people look at it that way but we would also be stepping on the gas with regard to destroying the planetary biosphere by constructing such a monstrosity.

I thought I saw a thread title to that effect but I didn't read it.

It wasn't a big push but it was there as a little chew toy for what became Trump's base.
