I just heard a talking head caution Democrats that impeachment should be a "somber" undertaking

since it seeks to "overturn the will of the people".

Uh-uh.

12 million more people voted for someone else and nearly 3 million of those chose Clinton!

talk/walk softly...careful not to offend..don't give the repugs ammunition...say you're sorry, bend over, sacrifice our own (Franken) in the name of civility...not anymore! Call the asshat in our White House a motherfucker/liar/psychopath/traitor...talk impeachment all day everyday...so very tired of tiptoeing around it..at this point I don't want to wait for Mueller...start the process now!

Having a field day. Saying all we are doing is talking about getting trump despite promising an agenda. "Guess the amazing jobs report shut them up"

I suspect no matter what our leaders said they would gin it up against us. So doesn't matter.

Still don't understand why it's so hard to say, yes, believe he's committed impeachable offenses already like....but we will wait for Mueller report too

They conveniently forgot to mention the one million people not getting paid because of the shutdown. That should be factored in.

"Somber" is the last word I would use to describe that shit show.

It was embarrassingly ridiculous right down to the idiotic striped robes that the "dishonorable" Chief Justice William Rehnquist had made for the circus event.

While the outcome of impeachment could potentially provide relief to the nation through removal by the Senate, the fact that Congress would ever need to exercise constitutional powers to remove a sitting president is in itself a grave matter. The mere fact that a president has committed treason, felonies and/or misdemeanors is a national tragedy. While I do believe Trump is likely guilty, the integrity and importance of the office makes this somber.

The notion that a President may have committed grave acts against the country is a sad and sobering fact.

Look at footage from the Watergate hearings. The faces of the congress members were not happy.

Of course there was also the charade known as the Clinton impeachment but history has shown that for the joke that it was. It was a bastardization of the process.
